We are pleased to report that one of our under 15s players pulled on a shirt for Exeter Chiefs under 15s academy on the 29th March against Worcester.

Ben Jones started playing rugby at the age of 9 for our under 10s and has progressed through the age groups.

He joined the Developing Players program (DPP) run by the CRFU, Exeter Chiefs & Truro College at under 13s, which is open to ALL players no matter what their ability. The program concentrates on developing the player which in turn benefits their own club.

Ben was overwhelmed when he was selected this January, together with 6 other boys from the county to join the u15s academy.

This is a testament to Perranporth and all of the smaller clubs to show  that young players do not have to be with one of the counties bigger clubs to get noticed and to progress!

Ben is grounded and knows the journey has both its ups and downs. But is grasping each experience with open arms.
