Evening All
Happy New Year from all at Perranporth RFC. Let’s hope 2021 is a better one than 2020!
Unfortunately, it will not start where we wanted to. Following the decision to move Cornwall into Tier 3, Cornwall RFU have taken the sensible decision to suspend all rugby completions (adults, youth, women, girls, colts and DPP), following a number of positive COVID cases in clubs across the county. They have also asked all clubs to very seriously consider the consequences of carrying on with any rugby related activities at the present time, and as such PRFC have taken the cautious decision to suspend ALL rugby activity. This decision will be reviewed w/b 18/01/21, following further advice from Government/CRFU.
This is a disappointment to us all, but we feel that we could not accept the responsibility for any of our members catching COVID as a result of our activities.
All PRFC training and games will cease immediately.
I will, of course, keep you fully informed as and when I receive further information.
Sorry folks!
Best wishes
Jeremy Pollard
Hon. Sec.
